Ingredients:french toast with strawberries and pecans (kat and reid made this)

1 baguette, cut into 20 slices
4 eggs
1 cup eggnog
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup frozen cranberries
1/4 cup cold butter, cut up
1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/3 cup pecan pieces

Instructions:

Coat a large baking dish with a non stick cooking spray.  Layer the bread in a single layer in the baking dish.

Place the eggs in a large mixing bowl and beat slightly.  Pour in the eggnog and milk and whisk to combine.  Sprinkle in the nutmeg and continue whisking to combine ingredients.  Pour mixture over the bread.  Allow to stand for 30 minutes.

Turn bread over and sprinkle the top with the frozen cranberries.  Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight.

Bring the oven temperature to 400 degrees.  Place the cut up butter into a mixing bowl.  Add the brown sugar.  Use a pastry blender to cut the butter into the brown sugar.  Mixture should be crumbly.  Cover the top of the bread mixture with the streusel mix.  Bake 12 minutes.  Sprinkle the top with the pecan pieces and continue cooking 12 minutes or until a light golden brown.

Ingredients:cornish blue hot chocolate

8 ounces white chocolate, chopped
3 cups milk
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Instructions:

Place the chocolate in a large microwave safe measuring cup.  Add the mikl and whipping cream.  Stir in the peppermint extract.  Microwave the cocoa on high for 5 minutes.  Remove and stir until the chocolate has completely melted.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

4 quarts water
1 1/2 cups sugar
6 cinnamon sticks
8 cups cranberry juice
4 cups orange juice
1/3 cup lemon juice

Instructions:

Place the water in a Dutch oven over high heat.  Stir in the sugar and add the cinnamon sticks.  Bring the mixture to a full steady boil. Reduce heat to low and continue cooking 20 minutes.  Remove the cinnamon sticks with a slotted spoon and do not reuse.  Pour in all 3 juices.  Stir well to combine the ingredients together.  Continue cooking 10 minutes.  Serve warm with a cinnamon stick for garnish.

Ingredients:

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Juice from 4-6 lemons
4 cups cold sparkling water or plain water

Instructions:

Mix together one cup water with one cup of sugar in small pot.  Heat mixture to boiling, stirring constantly until sugar is completely dissolved.  Allow water and sugar mixture to cool, pour in pitcher or bowl and refrigerate.  Once the mixture has reached desired coldness, add juice from lemons and stir completely.  (Strain lemon juice if desired)  Mix four cups of cold water into lemonade and pour in pitcher adding lemon slices if you prefer.

Servings:  Approximately 6

Tip:  Make one batch and freeze into ice cubes to add to lemonade prior to serving to keep this drink from becoming watered down.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup of chocolate chips
4 cups milk
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 peppermint stick

Instructions:

Place the chocolate chips in a sauce pan. Pour the milk over the chocolate.  Place the pan on medium low heat and cook stirring constantly until the chips just begin to melt.  Add the cocoa powder and sugar.  Stir until incorporated into the melting chocolate.  Dump in the peppermint extract.  Turn the heat to medium high and stirring continuously cook the mixture until it begins to boil and the mixture is smooth.  Pour into warm mugs and garnish with a peppermint stick.
